what is flash?

“Flash” is a term that can have different meanings based on the artist. For Curt this term is his ready to tattoo art that has a perfected color or shade study. Typically '“Flash” is displayed on the wall or in the artists books. Most flash is repeatable designs but Curt will label if an available piece is one off only. Even if base line work is repeated everyone gets their unique version.

how big is the flash?

To keep it simple, flash is broken down into 4 sizes (MINI, SMALL, MEDIUM, & LARGE) and each size roughly equals the time to complete the tattoo. Thus a “MINI” is less than an hour of tattooing. “OK BUT WHAT IS THE ACTUAL SIZE?” Exact size is hard to say because the design complexity matters and more importantly the place on your body. As a reference 2”x2” is about the largest “MINI”. The exact size and price will be finalized at the booked appointment based on our discussion and your approval.

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

HOW CAN A NEW CLIENT JUMP THE LINE?

REQUEST A FLASH TATTOO! Community and relationships are top priority. Therefore existing clients and on going projects will be prioritized. If you are a new client you may have to wait a few months, but the fastest way to get in is wanting my premade ready to tattoo art that is called FLASH.

IS FLASH REPEATABLE?

YES. Flash is repeatable if it is labeled as such. Even when repeated every tattoo will be unique and different even with the same base line drawing. This is part of the tradition of tattooing.

WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE?

CURRENTLY I AM $200 AN HOUR; But this doesn’t apply to one shot tattoos. One Shot tattoos are priced based off size and placement. (I.E. The same tattoo will be more expensive on the ribs then on the arm. Please see diagram below.)

WHAT IS YOUR GENERAL 1 SHOT PRICING?

Generally speaking Shop minimum is $100, Small tattoos are $200, Palm Size tattoos are $300, and a full hand size or calf is $500 to $600. These rates increase for any difficult areas like ribs, necks, or private areas. Please checkout the size chart & Pricing image.

WHAT STYLE OF TATTOOS WILL YOU DO?

Curt’s focus is on 3 styles rooted in traditional tattooing. Traditional Americana, Traditional Japanese, and Fineline Stipple shading. He will do simple lettering or Gothic Fonts.

Do you tattoo faces or private parts?

Simple answer is…Yes; but not for first time clients and not for people that aren’t heavily tattooed. YES I STILL HAVE MORALS & DIGNITY.
